What's the difference between the 3 models of buildings?
The "P" Model is a more traditional styled building. It has straight side
walls and a pitched roof. The "P" Model building is available in spans of
16' to 30' wide. This is an ideal building for garage, workshop and storage.

The "Q" Model is the traditional "Quonset Hut" that is completely half moon
shaped. It is perfect for hay storage or other applications where side
clearance is not that important. This is one of the strongest buildings on
the market today. There's a reason the military has been using these
buildings for years!

The "S" Model has a straight side wall and a dome shaped roof. The S Model
building is available in spans of 20' to 50' wide. Generally, if you are in
a very heavy snow/wind load area, the "S" Model will be a stronger building.

What About the Foundation?
These buildings are engineered to fit in a "U- channel" that is either
formed into your monolithic concrete slab or your free-floating footer
system. You do not need to pour a slab. An economical footer system may be
an option for you. Basically, it's 18" wide, and 16" deep. You simply form
out the channel 3½ " deep by 9" wide. Stand up your arches in the channel,
and then go back in and grout the channel at a 1" slope (inside and outside)
and "presto!" your building is anchored to your foundation. That's right, no
drilling into concrete, no lag bolts…no hassle. In addition, your engineered
drawings will provide this information in complete technical detail.

What if I don't have time or any body to help erect my building?
We have a team of highly qualified steel engineers who have erected hundreds
of these buildings. They can be hired for the erection of your building,
adding accessories or any assistance you require. The engineers will either
work a long side you or on their own.

Is Galvalume Steel really much better than galvanized sheet metal?
DEFINITELY. The Galvalume Steel that the buildings are made from is from
Bethlehem Steel in the United States (Bethlehem, PA). It's first quality
American Steel. The Galvalume has an aluminum-silicon-zinc alloy that is
applied to the steel with a continuous hot dip process. This gives the steel
a light dove gray sheen that carries a steel-mill backed guarantee for 20
years against rust and corrosion.

Do you offer financing?
We know that if you have contacted us that you need a building. We have some
sort of financing program for everyone! That's right, everyone. Even if you
have had credit problems in the past, we have a program for you. Call us on
01709 570355 and let's see if we can do some "creative financing" for you.

What if I have a problem?
No problem! we are open 24 hours a day all week long. Someone will call you
back ASAP! We also offer an in depth technical service web site for your
convenience.

Can I insulate my building?
The building's clear span, truss less design ensures that your building will
easily accept any form of conventional insulation methods: spray on,
fiberglass rolls or rigid foam. Installing ducting for heating and air
conditioning is also very easy.

What about heat and noise factors?
The high aluminum content in our Galvalume actually helps keep the building
cooler inside. The deep corrugation of the panel (which makes it uniquely
3-sided) leaves less exposed surface area which, along with our thick gauge
steel, dramatically reduces noise.

What type of ventilation system is available?
We understands the importance of ventilation to our customer. Our clear span
buildings offer unobstructed airflow and superior temperature consistency.
We offer two types of ventilation systems for our buildings gravity and
turbine or you can install a custom ventilation system.

Is a steel building an expensive option?
That’s a common misconception. To start with, these buildings are easy to
install. That results in lower assembly and building costs. Our buildings
are virtually indestructible and maintenance free. Look at lower insurance
costs and less overall maintenance over the years and you’ve got a winner.

How long till I receive my building?
We can ship most buildings within 2-3 weeks from when you place your order
with us.

How long will it take to erect my building?
Erection is easy. With our pre-drilled, simple foundation system and
easy-to-assemble panels, you could complete construction in a matter of a
few days.

Can I add on to the length of my building in the future?
These buildings use 2’ x 10’ panels fastened together with a single sized
nut and bolt system. Since this construction method is uniform throughout
the building process, adding more arches to your building for additional
length is not a problem.

What about fire?
These buildings, due to their all steel construction, withstand fire
extremely well. Interior fires can be contained within the building,
protecting your home and other property. Fires burning outside will not
ignite materials within the building due to the steel. Your building may be
burned and blackened, but it will not fall down and will be virtually as
corrosion resistant and protective for years to come.

Can I raise the sides?
Raising the sides of your building can be done by constructing your
foundation to include concrete sidewalls. Customers usually use this method
to increase the sidewall height by 2' to 4'. Also, depending on the
building model, higher sidewalls may be available as a customized option.

Can I put my building on a wall?
If you need to get more side wall height, these buildings can be constructed
on a wide range of foundations, including one with high walls. Whether you
build the side walls of concrete or of wood, our U-channels allows you to
construct your building the exact same way.

Can I run electrical wiring through my building?
Running electrical wiring is no problem. If you don’t know how yourself,
you’ll likely want to get an electrician to do the work, but many of our
customers have installed lights and power outlets, not to mention machinery
requiring electricity.

Can I put in a partition wall?
Once your building is up, customizing the inside is no problem. A partition
wall is only one of thousands of ideas to best use the space available in
the truss less, clear span designs. Be it partitions, walls or even cubicles
for office space, you’ll find you have plenty of room for all your needs.

Can I put in stalls for my horses?
Horses, cows, pigs—whatever animals you care for, adding stalls and pens in
your building is easy. Without support posts to build around, you can add as
many stalls as you need and make them as large as you want.

Can I install heating and air conditioning systems?
Builders constantly praise the easy access provided by the clear span, truss
less designs for installation not only of heating and air conditioning
systems, but other systems as well including electrical wiring, plumbing,
drywall, false ceilings and partitions.

Can I use my building for bulk storage?
Bulk storage is one of thousands of possible applications for your building.
Whether you’re storing grain, machinery, widgets or anything else, you’ll
find that these buildings will provide you with the space, protection and
expandability you need.

Can I put my own ends and doors in?
When you need to match or complement existing structures or extend and
customize your building, a wide range of endwall options—and our
user-friendly endwall adapters—make it convenient to complete your project
consistently and economically. Similarly, you can install a frame to accept
any custom door.

Can I paint my steel building?
You can paint your building as you would any other type of building. For
more information on how and what types of paint you can use, visit our pages
on painting your building.

Will my building rust?
A rusted steel building is an eyesore, which is why all of our buildings are
made from AZ180 Galvalume steel, which carries a 20-year warranty against
corrosion. Your building should remain eye-pleasing for years and years.

How many people will I need to help put up my building?
More than 85% of our customers erect their buildings themselves.
Construction of a building requires only four people. Construction can be
done with fewer or more people, but four people can get the job done,
depending on the size of the building, in a matter of days.

How thick is the steel?

Steel thickness is measured in ‘gauge’. The lower the gauge number the
greater the thickness. We use 14 to 26-gauge Galvalume steel. We’ll
recommend a lower gauge steel to someone constructing their building in an
area of heavy snowfall or high winds. The thicker steel provides additional
protection from such forces.
